Politicians are clueless but they've been persuaded into it by MindGeek (Pornhub, RedTube, YouPorn, etc) who by a complete coincidence are also the creators of AgeID age verification.

MindGeek definitely aren't looking for a way to tie up all porn sites to be under their control, its been impartial advice

There are literally hundreds of millions of porn sites. And external doorway pages. Around 40% of the internet. Many are owned an run by for by the criminals of the world like the mafia, and plenty of places that hate the west for e.g. russia... How exactly are the UK government going to persuade all these sites to comply with their micky mouse UK law that they dont care about or maybe never heard of. Theres millions of new sites and pages, and links and new content added to literally millions of new domains every week.

Even if they somehow had the time and energy to force the UK ISPs to block all these rapidly evolving and avoiding sites tomorrow, then within a week millions of doorway pages in hundreds of countries will appear to maintain access for these sites from sites that use a frame in a different country. Or on a new host. Much like after some big torrent sites were blocked, they just added hundreds of ever changing kick.me.to doorways overnight. Not that anyone with an encrypted connection or any means of faking their IP address or VPN needs those anyway.

They are living in a dreamworld and advised by morons. I might also add that any idiot can download a fake credit card generator that will create details and card numbers that pass their verification.

Surprisingly large percentage of the world where porn is illegal already. UK law will be a guinea pig test for selling a similar idea to the US government as soon as a religious nut becomes president. Be a lot less new content made if nobody can watch it and fund the advertising that pays the bills.

The first problem for ordinary people is it will lead to a shit load of credit card fraud with rogue sites taking advantage of nobody being familiar with the new rules and how a verification system works, but knowing just enough to fuck up and give away all their details.

Most porn isn't hosted in civilized western countries. And what is, will just get moved to cheap Russian or any of 200 countries hosting where they dont give a toss about some western internet laws. You can guarantee that as it will ensure the ad revenue continues to flow. Along with computer generated fresh IP doorway pages by the billion every day.

In some places like china, they cant easily access the internet of the west. Or so the state thinks. But the billions of millennial's are not even slowed down. They just re-rout everything or fake their IPs. The internet was designed to be this way. The UK or US can introduce any legislation it wants. The web, and the users will just adapt. If you dont want your kids seeing porn, then get off the internet! Its very design prevents gov control. You are always 2 clicks from a girl being shagged by a donkey. Its a free for all. Dont like it? Get off the internet.

Theres so much fraud, and tracking, as well as profiling and data gathering on the web by many organizations from your own governments, to advertisers, to spammers and criminals that EVERYONE with any sense should be using at the very least a good anonymous no logs VPN inc the VPNs own domain name servers today for your own protection. Like Express VPN. And an ad and tracking blocker like uBlock Origin, as a matter of course. Those are basic security essentials. You dont need an anti virus program running real time if you know what you are doing. But run a scan to check periodically just to be sure.

The site blocking and age verification bollox is a waste of time and money which could be spent better elsewhere. Porn has always existed, so what's the point in trying to cover it up  Even in Parliament, MPs watch porn on their phones! They have no clue how the internet operates.

The fact that someone that doesn't want to tell the world who they are, or how old they are, can download a card generator that will pass verification anyway kind of makes that system useless anyway.

You can even use dozens of online ones. https://www.getcreditcardinfo.com/gener ... itcard.php
But unless you use a VPN they know who you are. So best to download a generator.exe. file.

So even if the DO implement it, and any porn site bothers to oblige them, its still super easy to access at any age...

Stupid governments. Stupid advisors. Pointless and totally ineffective yet expensive legislation that took 2 years of research and study...

Its not cheap. But its the best, fastest, most servers around the world, secure domain name servers, many security protocols, no logs kept ever, for anything, and works on any device and even your router...

suppose to be great - and they recommend it of course if you do use it - then they suspect your up to no good and then they start watching you for nothing

like everything else - they want you to be safe - protect yourself - your info. etc, and when you do - then they question why - just like Social Security cards and numbers we use here - they say never to give it out - but everywhere you go for services - thats the first thing they ask for - so its all bullshit - makes no sense -

it will give a list of things you can do
ipconfig /flushdns
there is a space between the switch
